Exhibition “Emperor Thieu Tri with culture and fine arts in Hue royal palaces”

With the aim of increasing the content of information and display for tourists, Hue Monuments Conservation Center organized a exhibition “Emperor Thieu Tri with culture and fine arts in Hue royal palaces” at Long An Palace, Hue Royal Antiquities Museum (No. 3 Le Truc, Hue City).

The exhibition introduces about Emperor Thieu Tri (1841-1847), with works of culture - poetry, shown through Than kinh nhi thap canh (20 beauty spots in Hue ancient capital which were ranked and praised in poems) accompanied with illustrations of some landscapes still now; a number of poems carved in Long An Palace - which is also a part of the documentary heritage Literature on Hue royal architecture has been recognized by UNESCO as a World Documentary Heritage Site in Asia - Pacific.
In addition, this exhibition also introduces emperor Thieu Tri with imprints in royal art deco, reflected in the style of commissioned patterned porcelains and enamelled bronzeware with the typical form of decoration idiosyncrasy of the Thieu Tri reign.

The exhibition will take place from 5.9 to 25.12.2019 at Hue Royal Antiquities Museum (No. 3 Le Truc, Hue City).
