Under the Nguyen dynasty, the Royal Medical Office was the agency responsible for health care for the royal family, mandarins in the court, and the health of the soldiers and the people. During the operation, the Royal Medical Office under the Nguyen dynasty played an important role in the medical field and left many achievements in Vietnamese traditional medicine.

The formation, organization, role, mission, activities and achievements of the Royal Medical Office under the Nguyen dynasty are reflected on the Imperial Archives of Nguyen dynasty and the Woodblocks of Nguyen dynasty - the two World Documentary Heritages that are the main content of the exhibition "The Royal Medical Office under the Nguyen dynasty viewed from the World Documentary Heritages in Vietnam” organized by the Hue Monuments Conservation Centre, the National Archives Center I and the National Archives Center IV belonging to the State Records and Archives Department of Vietnam.

The exhibition introduces nearly 50 photographs (and reproductions) of the Imperial Archives of Nguyen dynasty and the Woodblocks of Nguyen dynasty with the content related to the Royal Medical Office under the Nguyen dynasty. In addition, information on some famous physicians under the Nguyen dynasty and Tien Y temple in Hue, along with a number of documents and medical supplies will also be presented at the exhibition, providing a true and vivid image on the traditional medicine under the last monarchy in Vietnam.
